Two things really stroke me when I worked on this project. The first one was how the architecture of the Louvre evolved through the historical periods (it started as a fortress). So graphicly using maps to illustrate the history made a good point.

The second thing is how the paintings are exposed in the museum. Their are a lot and it feels like a mosaic.

So it inspired me for the layout and I choose to play with the looks to add dynamic.
